Direct access to emails transported within Tobit David is not possible. Unfortunately, Tobit does not offer a "journaling mailbox" like MS Exchange.

Ein kleiner, praxis-erprobter „Umweg“ implementiert diese Funktionalität über die DupLOG-Schnittstelle des Systems. In der Datei david.ini kann das System so konfiguriert wereden, daß für alle ein und ausgehenden E-Mails Verweise in einer gesonderten Tobit David Mailbox angelegt werden. Dieser Ordner kann per POP3 oder IMAP freigegeben werden, so daß die hier aufgelisteten E-Mails von Benno MailArchiv mittels POP3 (bspw. per Benno-pop3) abgeholt werden können.

There are two points to consider with this type of connection.

The emails in the DupLOG mailbox are only references. If the actual email is deleted, the email in the DupLOG mailbox will be empty.

The DupLOG mechanism intervenes very early in the mail processing process, so the spam criterion is not yet taken into account.

Unfortunately, Tobit David does not provide a more robust interface for accessing all incoming and outgoing emails. Therefore, access should be performed relatively frequently.
